Robert Ivy Role In AIA

Robert Ivy is an American architect, born in Columbus, Mississippi. He holds a bachelor and a master`s degree in architecture from Sewanee University and Tulane university respectively.

Ivy currently lives in Washington, DC. He is the CEO and EVP of the American Institutes of Architects. Previously he worked in McGraw-Hill Construction company as VP and Editorial Director where during his tenure he oversaw publications of 33 genres.

Robert Ivy Awards
It was during Robert Ivy leadership when Architectural Record won many publishing prizes including the premier magazine journalism award. In 2009, Ivy was awarded Crain Award which is an individual recognition from American Business Media`s. Ivy`s effectiveness in communicating design values won him landslide votes as a “Master Architect” in Alpha Rho Chi back in 2010. These are but some of his awards he has been awarded.
