Iskandar Safa Achievements as the Co-founder and Manager of Privinvest


Iskandar Safa was born in Lebanon in 1955. He was born to a Maronite Christian family in Beirut. He has managed to build churches in Lebanon where he lives and also in South Asia.

He is a co-founder and CEO of Privinvest Group and it has facilities both in Europe and Middle East. He completed his studies in Civil Engineering and graduated from American University of Beirut in 1978. In 1982 he obtained an MBA from INSEAD in France.

Iskandar Safa’s career is focused in the get-go. He got his first experience in US and later he went to the United States where he supervised an air syndrome construction site in Riyadh. His brother Akram and the creation of Privinvest that helped him make the first foray which has become his focus in his life.

In 1992 Iskandar Safa and his brother decided to buy the Constructions Mecaniques de Normandie and that was through Privinvest. Later on he struggled with a major French shipyard based in Cherbourg. In a few years, he managed to shipyard to its normal situation.

He managed to do this by selecting prestigious marines and also the private clients. Another achievement he made was in 2007 together with Al Ain International made the Abu Dhabi Mar shipyard. There was a fire that consumed Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris and Iskandar Safa sacrificed to donate an unlimited amount of marble from his own quarry in Saint-Pons-de-Thomieres, Herault, that is next to the Mediterranean Sea. Recently, marble has been used for making monuments. The quarry is also a home to a modern studio where the sculptors produce monuments by using both hands. Safa’s history of philanthropy has a consistence with the gift of marble that was for the Notre-Dame’s restoration.
